What is to be considered when making an appointment for freezing semen?

Whether for the single specimen examination, for the preparation of cooled semen, or for the preparation of deep-frozen semen, - the presence of a bitch in heat is desirable in any case. Please bring the pet passport or vaccination records for males, in which the last rabies vaccination is documented.

It is best to bring your own bitch in heat. Alternatively, you can also find appointments for which a bitch in heat is registered in our practice. (Of course, we cannot guarantee that the bitch's owner will keep the agreed date).

How will the semen be extracted?

1. An assistant leads the male behind the bitch in heat.
2. Using the friction method they collect the semen directions into a suitable vessel (suitable vessels) for further examination and processing
